When the gong sounds, we never hesitate
For whatever the reason may be, we must not be late!!
From the child with the skinned knee
To the cat in the tree
Or the people trapped in that building a blaze
Or the car that has went the wrong way
We have always been there
Now for more than a 100 YEARS
So when the MAYOR SHUTS US DOWN
Is it appalling???
We are drawn to tears
In the hearts of the citizens
This seems to bring out their fears
But for the FIREFIGHTER it just means
The end of another dismal fiscal year!!!!
Where has all the money gone???
