Track Updates for July 2, 2000


John LaCosta    S aturday (6/24)

     I spent a good part of the day trimming trees along the right of way from the substation to 28th street loop. Paul Ritterhoff helped with the large weeds (small trees) that had grown up next to 28th street loop on the east side.

     The Dispatcher was Rick Williams with Andy Blumberg and Dennis Falter as crew.

Rick Obbink Rick Obbink continued working on 1164's axle bearing casting.

     Sunday (6/25)

     It was a very busy day, one of the busiest in a long time with 264 as the center of attraction on its 100th birthday.

     Rick Williams was Dispatcher with Andy Blumberg, Justin Thillman, Warren Olt, David Baynes and John O'Neil as crew.

     Saturday (7/1)

     Ed Amrhein and I installed the track brakes on the front truck of the PCC. This took a little longer than expected when we found that we had to make an alignment bushing. While I made the bushing at the 22nd street shops, Ed finished mowing the grass.

     Ben Bates, Ed Amrhein, Justin Tillman, Chris Howell, Dennis Yeager and I loaded horse car 129 on the trailer ready for its trip to the Towson 4th of July Parade.

     Chris Howell was Dispatcher with David Navjokas, John Diefenbach and Dennis Falter as crew.

     Sunday (7/2)

     I started the day as Dispatcher and was relieved by John O'Neil with Paul Riterhoff and Carl Thistel as crew.
