I enjoyed reading the reminisces of Catonsville by Steve McCahan because his experience paralleled mine so much. I moved to Catonsville in 1941, and went to Catonsville Elementary and High schools. I lived at 210 Frederick Road, in a lovely home that was demolished for the I-695 expresway.

I rode the No 8 each Sunday the Orioles were in town out to the old Memorial Sadium. And believe it or not, when I was awake at night it was so quiet that I could hear the trolleys roll all the way out to the Catonsville loop. Doug Hobbs and I used to ride the Ellicott City line through the woods to EC too. I really enjoyed the trolleys and still do.
