Monday (8/1)

After a bunch of paper work, BSM was given a 100 foot, 100 ton transfer table that was used at AAI Corp. to move light rail cars. This table was no longer needed and was donated tot eh museum on the understanding that the museum would have to disassemble it. After review with the AAI maintenance staff and safety department, an acceptable method was agreed to and Ed Amrhein and I started to remove the bolts. Of the about 500 bolts, Ed and I got about 1/3 of them removed. This was no easy task and required an air impact wrench.

Thursday (8/4)

Ed and I continued removing the bolts from the transfer table. We left just enough in to prevent the side I-beams from falling to minimize the time need to get ready for the lift of the six I-beams.

Saturday (8/6)

Ed Amrhein, Dave Crow, Chris McNally and I spent the morning removing all of the small parts from the transfer table to get it ready for the disassembly.

uring the afternoon I work on the phone system at the museum while Justin Thillman and Ed Amrhein worked on the brush holder for one of the snow sweeper broom motors.

Mark Hurley and Dan Lawrence were Dispatchers with Dan McCaffery, Jerry Kelly and Bill Shear as crew.

Sunday (8/7)

John La Costa was Dispatcher with Justin Thillman, Buster Hughes and Rev. Muel ler as crew.

Saturday (8/13)

This was the day that we disassembled the main transfer beams of the transfer table. Each beam was 7 tons and was moved with a large fork lift. A smaller fork lift was used to move the approximately 70 track support tubes that ran fro on side of the table to the other. All of the parts were stacked near by to await transport to the museum.

Chris Howell was Dispatcher with Dennis Falter and Fred Schneider as crew.

Sunday (8/14)

Ben Bates was Dispatcher with Mike Citro, John Oâ^À^ÙNeil and Steve Abramowitz as crew.

Saturday (9/17)

The track crew started looking for part to build a switch in track four.

Mark Hurley was Dispatcher with Dan Lawrence and Steve Abramowitz as crew.

Sunday (9/18)

Bob Krueger was Dispatcher with Mike Citro, Jimmy Genthner, Carl Thistel and Fred Schneider as crew

Saturday (9/24)

A careful review of track 4 indicated that a short section needs to be lowered slightly. Lowering tack is harder than raising it since you first have to dig the stone out, lower the track, put the stone back in and tamp it. The crew that did this labor intensive task was Ed Amrhein, Josh Leman, Chris McNally, Dan McCaffery and Buster Hughes.

Dave Naujokas was Dispatcher.

Sunday (9/25)

Dave Crow was Dispatcher with Joyce Boblitz, Mike Citro and Sharon Higgins as crew.
